A group of “Bigs” and “Littles” from Big Brothers Big Sisters took in some football action Sept. 28 in San Diego when they were invited to attend a game between the Chargers and the Jaguars. The kids and their adult sponsors, called “Bigs,” even got to walk onto the field before the game started. “It was really neat for these kids, many of whom have never been to a game at all, let alone on a real NFL field so close to the players,” said David Greenberg, who helped organize the event.

Volunteers are always needed to act as “Bigs” to young boys and girls who could benefit from friendship and guidance from an adult outside their own family. For information, call (760) 568-3977 or visit www.bbbsdesert.org.
